In the passage” Play time is over” David Elkind is talking about recess of being no longer a child’s play. Is an issue that has been replaced with many school activities and computer games, which makes kids very unsociolized from real culture of childhood.

Childhood games are very important because. It develops child’s mind. It helps to understand the good and the danger of real world. It helps to build a good physically body.

Developing a child’s mind in a younger age is a very important task to be achieved from parents and school. But sometimes for a child in order to have a brighter mind has to pass thru a social life called the childhood games. These are activities that the child develop his mind out of the house and school program. By playing childhood games the kids would feel the pain of falling down, the danger passing thru them and the fun of winning the game.

Back in the days I remember myself playing with other kids any type of games that comes to our mind. I remember not having to many toys to play at home but my only game and fun was outside in the street. Many times had fall down and scratch my legs and arms all over. However the pain of going thru from falling didn’t care much because I kept my body moving and my mind away from pain. I used to play until late at night making my mother coming out of the house to look for me, because I didn’t wanted to leave the game, and the fun was so incredible.

Childhood activities are very important for a kid life because it would put them in many situations of knowing the good things to do from the bad things to know. By distinguishing the good from bad it will help them understand the real world that surrounds them. Many times I see kids in here that are not very socialized with outside world. They are very scared when they walk out there. This comes because parents lock them home and school occupies them with many different activities. What I see here is a life being controlled without any freedom of doing what you love to do.

On the other hand childhood activities are very important also to build a child’s physical body, because it helps them burn the energy that body needs it out and keeps them moving all the time.

Participating children in the culture of childhood means to socialize them outside four walls of the school and TV shows. Children that had pass thru a childhood culture have more potential of becoming more smarter and better physically than kids controlled from coaches or any other activities that parents are paying. Lets have our kids enjoying their childhood social process, of giving them a little freedom of outside world.

Bottled water tastes better than tap water is a myth that distinguishes the difference between bottle a water that we buy in the store and the tap water that we uses just for washing purposes. The idea of buying water from stores is that we think that bottle of water is cleaner than tap one, but in reality we don’t know if this myth is true or not.

Many factories have found the water business as a very convenience way to make millions. It’s a business that continuously has found the way to push us to keep buying water from them. They’re advertisements are nailing a bad message to us about tap water because they want to keep us continuing buying they’re water which originally comes from the same place as tap water. Many people don’t realize this because in their mind is flowing the same idea that tap water is U.S is just used for washing purposes and nothing else.

As for me being part of this environment I am using bottled water since I’ve put foot in this country, because many people had told me that water in U.S is not good to be drink, so the only solution was just buying water which I have found very inconvenienced. Back in the days in my county I never had to buy water so for me living the American life is that any step that I have to put I have to pay for unnecessary things.  Probably one day besides water we’re going to start paying also for clean air.

I think the only solution of stopping buying bottled water is to have Government identifying and testing our tap water. But again this solution would never be done because, the Government collects more taxes and profit from this factories rather than have tap water sterilized and cleaned for us.

From the passage below” Mom and dad buy the broccoli” New York times is illustrating a problematic issue of food industries, advertising junk food, and the diseased created among American children by consuming most of these products . Many of these unhealthy products, has created a national scandal, which had put government to get a closer look and stop these issues.

Food and beverage manufactures are just junk because.  They tend to sell unhealthy products to make more money. They don’t care about health issues, by consuming their products. They’re not 100% organic.

Most of these companies out there are making a huge profit by selling junk and unhealthy food. The competition between them is like a war that has to end with a winner. Many of their products are not 100% checked from the health department, because it will make them lose lots of money in case there is an issue to destroy them. So what they do is most of the time they put fake labels to their products so the consumer will buy it. By doing this their unchecked products will be sold immediately, without thinking the consequences of health humanity. I’ve also been a victim of these scams. I remember one time going home from school; I stopped by a grocery store to buy ice cream which was sealed on plastic. Somehow I brought that ice cream home and finished eating there. Couples of hours later I start having a stomach ache, high fever, which made my mother worry how and why I’m having this symptoms. She asked me if I had eaten anything outside, so I told her I that I did get a bite of ice cream, and threw the plastic wrap inside the garbage. My mother found that ice cream wrapper and saw that the store keeper had covered the expiration date with a price sticker. I end up going hospital and realizing what I did to myself from buying something that was bad from long time ago. There is so much junk out there, destroying our health, and millions that these food companies are making by selling them.

Many of these beverage manufactures don’t see the health issue created from they’re products as a problematic matter. For them is just machinery that makes tons of these products and throws them out there in our houses with out thinking what the consequences of the junk food will bring on. Most of they’re production line are no made from a 100% organic ingredients, because it will cost them more money to made them. The only solution is to fake everything and make it look like original and very healthy.

I think that no matter how Government will be involved, no matter how careful we are junk food will always be out there. Is a life routine that will pass by us and our kids. We as humans have to see these products in a closer look and check what is right to eat and what is wrong. Hopefully, one day everyone will realize this issue of staying away junk food.

According to the Meatrix website family farms are decreasing every year. They’re been replaced from giant corporations and many food industries. This new technology of preparing food rather than have it from a local farmer will benefit these industries of making millions from a large scale of production. It’s an unfair business that is replacing healthy and nutritious food from junks that we are paying more than what we suppose to.

Family farms are important. They produce fresh, nutritious and high quality food. They protect natural recourses.

Family farms not only in U.S but all around the world from studies and report that are made has come to a solution that they product is 100% healthy and nutritious for human being. The products that are coming from a family farm like meat, fruits, vegetable, oil and many other products that a farmer grows it in his land has more chances of reducing many health issues of man kind.

Family farms besides they’re healthy products and 100% nature growths are called also as man kind of environment protection. Fields and green are the number one causes of having a clean air and water. Many family farmers are using they’re own techniques to protect many natural resources and human health.

As my conclusion, family farms are very important. I come from a farm family that fresh and healthy is our primary goal. We need to extend farming because it would help decreasing junk food and pollute environment.

In the passage” Red Pill or Blue Pill: Is Ignorance Bliss?” authors Cornell and Malcolmson are comparing Neo’s life In a parallel string with Alice in wonderland, of living into a unreal world created from they’re imagination. The world that Neo’s is living is just a shadow of the real world that Matrix has created.

We do not live in the Matrix because matrix is just a computer program that has no value of real world because is just a game, is just a software that runs from a computer and has no value for our life’s.

Video games are just waste of time because they get you distracted, they change your personality and they destroy your vision.

As part of this technology of playing video games I find it very unnecessary to spend time with it because they get me very distracted from my primary things. Some of those games are made in that way to change my personality of becoming very angry and intense with people that surrounds me and if I keep playing for hours day by day I will end up destroying my eye vision.

Playing video games all day long I find it a complete waste of energy because it will separate me from my important things that I have to do first. If I have to study I will put all my energy of reading and writing into a 40inch screen that just change color from my joystick command. If I have to eat I will starve to death until I destroy my enemy, and if i have to sleep and get the rest that I need I will wash my face with cold water and get back to the game. Back in days I remember myself running home after school and jump into my Nintendo. Sometimes because I was in rush to get home I used to forget notebooks and supplies in school, and end up getting punished from my parents to that point of getting locked in a room away from my friends, toys, and TV. But that didn’t last long because even though punished my first achievement after getting out of that room was my video game.

By playing video games I end up changing my personality and becoming very aggressive and unstable. Same as NEO that taking the red pill had to change his personality of becoming very unstoppable and powerful like jumping from one building to another, or fight with an incredible speed of hands. I used to put myself as a hero that to have the ability of doing things that none of human being can harm me. I used to get upset of losing my game but that wasn’t enough because that anger I used to bring it in real life with my friends and parents. All this kind of things I never realized because I used to think that I am the dominate of the game and whatever around me was just an enemy.

By playing video games I end up losing my focus eye vision. My eye circle used to be always red from hours and hours playing, and not realizing what was going on. Was a time that my eyes start watering from seeing sun light and that made me so scared because I didn’t know what I was doing to myself. It was a tough decision to throw away my video game but I did what I have to do, because I didn’t want to end up with eye glasses.

As part of my conclusion I think that video game world is putting many young adults to a complete distraction, that have capture their minds in a way of acting and over reacting in an inappropriate way with the real world, and the blue pill would be the only solutions of making them believe that the real world is where you standing not beyond the imagination.

In the passage” The Dangers of Reality TV” Timothy Sexton is presenting reality television as an unsafe message for many young age’s which puts educations as unnecessary task to complete. Reality television is forcing the idea that the key of becoming successful in life is participating in reality television rather than having an education.

Reality TV shows are just waste of time, because it’s all fake, they’re just to fill up channels, and they don’t have any value for me.

We need to focus on education because you able to find better jobs and opportunities, you’ll be a better person for yourself and your family, you’ll be able to help the community and the world itself.

As part of being educated I am going to school because I want to become a better person for my family, to show my kids the importance of education and teach them to become smart and very well motivated, to help my community of opening new jobs and reduce the crimes, to show the world the way to respect each other, and create peace in many countries.

Becoming a better person and educated I am able to show my family the importance of life education. I am able to teach my kids to read and write perfect English and teach them to have an open mind with lots of ideas and goals. I still don’t have any kids yet but what I always think and want is that for my child to become a great student and to learn from me as much they could, because I would see myself as a proud father. I remember the time when my parents were very proud of me of having a very talent kid to draw and create unique things that were very popular in many galleries and studios. Many times they had a chance to see me in the TV and the winner of many prizes. Even though during this days, I still have them telling me that we have brought in life a child that have a lot of respect for himself and a great person to become a father for his family.

Being educated and having a college degree I’m able to get a better job which it would fill all my life responsibilities. Education would put me into many opportunities that I always dreamed to have. By being educated I have the power to open many doors that my needs are always welcome. Having a better job I would be able to buy my dream house and the car that always wanted. I am pushing myself to get right to the top, for me for my family, and for my country.  

Being educated and having a college degree I’m able to work for my community and help the city to open job opportunities for many citizens. By open new jobs the crime of steeling will decrease to half which will put the safety in our streets. Helping the community and the city will increase my reputation as a knowledgeable person that would put me into a new level of having the government choosing me for many issues and ideas. Being educated and having the idea of bringing peace in many countries, I would have the opportunity to defuse the hate and the anger by resolving many issues, that would put the world in a very peaceful life. I always see myself on top of everything. Always think that one day my words will be very powerful to balance the life of many countries. It’s a dream that I want to pursue in real life to extend my ability and my knowledge to the whole world that day by day falling by the hunger and poverty.

As part of my conclusion I believe that many of us has to understand that the real life is not just a TV show that put’s people eating bugs and scrolling to the mud just because is money involved, but is the capability of learning and the goals that you want to achieve in real life to get what you deserve. Education is the primary goal that will make our dreams come true.

In the article” Are Illegal Immigrants Good for U.S Economy” author Ewing is concerning about undocumented immigrants being able to earn legal status because they would raise the state revenue. Also they would support our economy by creating new jobs, which would decrease the high volume of unemployment and help U.S economy getting out of the crises and debts by paying taxes. U.S government should review and change a bit some of immigrations laws because many of these immigrants want to move up to they’re careers and by doing this many new ideas and opportunities has come out.

I agree with Ewing of legalizing many immigrants because in my job I have many agents that are coming from far apart countries to work for one year or two and than go back home because of visa status but the thing is that many of them have a lot of potential and a lot of knowledge for work. Our company is very concern of not let in go this particular agents but when it comes to regulations and U.S Immigrations laws, than no choice. In emergency situations, sickness, illness they have to pay the doctor from they own pocket because of they’re status government want aloud them to have insurance like any other U.S citizen. They breathe and eat like we all do but again is all above that has to be change.

Being as the most powerful government in the world U.S should look and make changes in laws of legalizing and give opportunities to many and many immigrants, that are coming in this land with a lot willing and ideas because it would help to open many doors for jobs and opportunities of new generations coming.

In the article” The Allegory of the Cave” philosopher Plato is trying to understand the man’s life in the cave from Socrates and Glaucon speaking.  Human beings were chained up underground since they’re childhood. They no longer know the reality of the outside life, but what they see is only shadows from man’s real life above them and fire blazing at a distance.  Life for them was a complete darkness, which had no freedom, but just fear.  One of them, luck took place and has him released so he could face the real world. He walked towards the reality; finally he realized the reality of shadows for so many years. His eyes start having more clear vision of what darkness took place for very long time. He sees the sun in a proper place and the light that he gives life to mother earth. He likes it; he is getting used of it, because now he knows the real world. He decide to go back to the cave and speak to others that real world is above them.  They need to see and clear they’re mind from this underground life which had locked them for years and years. But unfortunately they don’t believe him. They think he is crazy, and whatever he is mumbling is just a craziness coming out of his mind, so they wanted to kill him.

As my life concerned, it was a time that I put myself in this shadow that took place on me for so many years, because I was scared, not sure and undecided.  I always wanted to have a degree or become someone, but I have to have college done. I was leaving on this fear of school to do not understand my teachers or class made making fun of me because I couldn’t speak a word of English. Having this idea for years got me nowhere but i have dreams to pursue. So I decide to make the step of my life and see the reality being college student. As I’ve got in I realized that what I have thought about college is not true,  but is an opportunity of learning more and live an educated life.

In the article” Are Illegal Immigrants Good for the U.S Economy?” author Walter Ewing had come up with today’s immigrant’s  issue, possessing the most labor force in the U.S. Many of these Immigrants are not eligible for Social Security, Medicare or any other benefit, which will consist on their dollars help fund. However many of these immigrants are spending billions of dollars each year, supporting U.S economy and created new jobs.

A study made on one of the states had come to incredible results that these immigrants had brought millions to the states economic output, which 1 quarter went for state services and the other 3 quarter was used for state revenue. Even though states are receiving a huge profit out of these immigrants, Immigration system is not working very well on some of them to have legal status, or be able to acquire new job skills, or move up the career. Lawmakers should see this issue and work on it because, it will help U.S to get out of debts and have economy moving forward to the top.
